Help with bitmaps

I just downloaded sysmetrix last week and i love it alot nicer than the coolmon i was using. i already started to makes skins however i am at a loss when i try to make the main image. i want an oval or atleast a rectangle with rounded corners but every program i try to use makes rectangles. what program supports the bmp with odd shapes

?.. Photoshop can make "rounded rectangles" and let you choose the pixel amount of the 'curve'. Corel's Draw [?? I think..] also does this. Just save-as the images as PNG's to support transparency. I'm pretty sure PaintShop Pro does this as well..anyone?

Paint shop does it but you have to save it as a png, like sbgFX suggested. If you save it as a jpeg or bmp, the background will be filled in with white, after you save it.

but if i save it as a png sysmetrix wont open it. i will only open bmp gif or jpeg
