Hi Guys,

Could one of you (or more) please make a really good Holden wallpaper and logon, maybe with one of the V8 SS utes that you see at the ekka.  If you can't or don't want to do the wall and the logon, then just do the wallpaper.  The dimensions are:800x600.  If you can, could you sort of supe the car/s up a bit as well.  My email is: [email protected].

Citizen A Hatten ....re the 'racing' side of Holdens [and Fords]....I've been a motor racing official [Cams, FIA, FIM] for getting on for 30 years.....including the last 26 Australian Grands Prix .... so know a 'little bit' about them in racing...

SD....yes, the Utes are poorly balanced and also too long in the wheelbase to be anything other than a quaint curiosity.....big hunk of Yank [origin] cast iron in front and rear drive with bugger-all weight over the driven wheels.....about as ungainly as an early 911 [Formula Doctor]...though the Carerra Cup Porsches got it together better than the oldies did...

Just had to put in my 2 cents....If you want a go-fast truck, actually built to go fast you'll have to settle for a Ford F-150 Lightning (2004, black, 6 speed automatic). The Dodges got a lot of HP but have the suspension of a brick. Toyota (over priced) is trying to catch up to the base Nissan Trucks. Nissan can't release aftermarket parts until the first trucks run out their warantees. When that happens I'll look into a Nismo Titan. Till then...eat my dust.

Tundras won all acceleration tests against the competition in 2003, including the F-150 base model (not a jizzed up one). But I bought it to pull my boat

Lantec,

I have to say i disagreee, about the fords anyway, alot of them have been recalled (not vuluntarily) and they brake down so easily. Sure they go fast, but they can only go fast when they go, and that is not far.

A Hatten, I haven't had any problems on my end, no recalls (that I'm aware of). Oh, I take that back, keeping back tires on it has been a problem. Hey Jafo, whats a km/h. The stats look good, but have no idea what all that metric stuff means. I paid 1/2 of that for 380HP

Speaking of Dodge they have a 500 HP Hemi powered truck out now. Not sure how fast they are though.

OK I think I've got it. I'm not in the office so it took a minute 0.746kW = 1HP so for us in the west that's 398HP (respectable but pricey) The torques a little tougher. Newton.Meter vs Foot.Pound hmmmmm........ 1 ft.lb = 1.356 Nm so 391 ft.lbs torque

the Ford 380HP at 4,750RPM and 450 ft.lbs at 3,250RPM or
284.5kW and 610 Nm both at lower rpm. I can't tell you what the top speed is. I haven't got a place to turn her loose in.

Hey lantec, the reason you don't know of any recalls is because you're in the US (i'm in Australia), I didn't know that, i only realized when you said
but have no idea what all that metric stuff means.
