Is OD+ supposed to show up in the taskbar?

I've just installed the latest OD+ and I noticed that it shows up as an item in the taskbar. It has no functionality - it just sits there until I close OD+. It does not appear to be causing any problems that I'm aware of but it is a bit distracting. Is this SOP or a glitch?

It can be set to show up in the taskbar. Go into the options of the tabbed dock and see if that is set. May have happened by accident.
