Help? WB - I'm dumb
and I need some help
Saturday, February 26, 2005 by Bichur | Discussion: WindowBlinds
I tried posting pictures but I'm semi computer illiterate and it didn't work.
The only example I can give is verbal (written as it were): If I use Ketrucel (the latest one I wanted) I can see 3 panels but know I have at least 2 to go that are hidden off my screen. If I use Antares all my programs show on 4 panel (with the names slightly cut off by the edge of the screen but I can live with it.
If it's not simple and easy, how would I go about implementing a suggestion made to me earlier: create master folder(?) to shorten my list. If I just remove them from my list I can't find them again.

Once installed and open look in Appearance > Start Menu > Window XP > New Start Menu > Start menu Options > "Show Start- > Programs in scrolling mode"
this will give you a single column, with scrolling arrows at top and bottom.
Or you can reorganize your programs folders to eliminate a lot the clutter. If you don't like the scrolling method, let me know, and I'll try to explain the reorganizing method.

In the Documents and Settings folder, you'll see a folder for each user, and one for All Users. Lets' go to the All Users menu > Start Menu > Programs. Here you'll probably find folders for most program you've installed of your machine.
First make a copy of this folder to the desktop, just in case.
Then, what I would do is create a few new folders such as "Internet", "Tools", you get the idea. Then start moving shortcuts out of all those folders to the appropriate folder. While doing this, I would eliminate shortcuts I don't need/never use. As you clean out a folder, delete it.
This will probably take a while, but when done, you'll have a much more organized more programs list.
I hope this makes sense......

monitor, depending on monitor there will be buttons on front or dials on bottom to adjust screen size and centre
for vertical and horizontal. Hope this helps.
