WindowBlinds & Firefox Problem

Help Needed, Compatibility Issue

Friday, February 25, 2005 by FilkoSE | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Could anyone help me, please? Two of my WB skins have problems with Firefox? Some compatibility issue I guess.
The skins - (1. Link 2. Link), do not work with the Firefox browser for some reason. It does not display drop-down menus and some buttons are missing as well. I can't find out what may be the cause. I bet that some of you from WB/Firefox library could know. Thanks for any help and suggestion.

I tell WB to ignore firefox. Some firefox skins, skin the whole program already and you're trying to throw another skin over top of it.

Actually, to set WB settings to ignore Firefox doesn't help in this case.

The above mentioned problem is still there. There is something inside the code of WB that makes this happen. What is it?

Hmm, I'm not sure then. I have firefox and WB running together but Firefox ignored. Is it a certain skin of firefox or all? A certain WB skin or all?

It has to be something you missed when skinning WB. The right click option doesn't work on anything that I try it on.

But, what? The skin comes out clean, as far as errors go. Anyone?

Thanks Wicked. Are you saying that you using one of the WB skins from above and not having issues with FF?

BTW, I just downloaded FF, it's the newest version.

Wicked, I had the problem that he was talking about when I had his WB skins installed. Once I installed someone elses, it went back to normal after I refreshed FF since the font went BIG.

Weaksid you don't know that, but you have helped me a lot, with your last comment. "I refreshed FF since the font went BIG".
Thant's the clue and the reason. The fonts in my skin caused the problem. It's time for a

This is the problem: in the Miscellaneous section, there's Fonts for Classic Widgets. Whenever I try and edit this part with a font, the FF doesn't work. Once you change this part, FF is useless. No matter what font you apply.

Does anyone have a clue why is that?

*bump*

I just came across this issue my self when working on a skin. I was testing it so see how it looked, but got trubble with Firefox. All the menues appeared as a small thin line and my bookmark toolbar buttons disappeared. When I removed the entires for "Fonts for Classic Widgets" it worked fine again.

No need to remove them, just make sure fonts are a negative value. A neg 13 will be bigger than a 13 so you need to play with size to get it the way you want, or just use negative fonts everywhere.

Just smack a Firefox theme other then the default one overtop of the WB skin, that'll work (I hope)
