sysmetrix quirks

Monday, February 21, 2005 by Manny Moe and Jack | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Ok this really has been bugging me and I dont know what to do about it. Ok, I found the coolest skin ever (https://www.wincustomize.com/Preview.aspx?Source=http://skins3.wincustomize.com/Xymantix/metrix/FutureBlueExtended.jpg) but I cant get it to size properly because My monitor res is 800*600. So the skin looks WAY to big. The only way I found to get it to look right was to change my monitor resolution. the thing is, I dont want to change the way the rest of my comp looks to size the skin right. Is there an option in sysmetrix to scale the skin down? Please help me if you understand my ramblings.

No, it has to be done manually by editing the graphics, which means that you also have to edit all the configuration settings

What would one do about taking a SysMetrix skin loaded from this site adn it is all a bunch od seperate files?I see that is it is a .smx file it will load without a problem but the proggy don't want to see these folders with a bunch of bitmaps and scripts. Do I need to compile these in some way?

No one mentioned this so here...

To change the meters in Sys, you only have to right click a loaded skin and choose edit configuration. You can edit everything but the graphic files themselves.
If you want the skin 50% smaller you'll need to use a graphics program to modify all the graphics by 50% then re-save them to the same skin directory.
Then you can scoot them around till they fit right by using 'edit configuration'.
