Well alrihgty then did the google but figured I would get that responce. But thats ok any efort is appreciated PSP comes with a great book but it dose not cover thet anmation shop portion of the software Primarily haveing problems geting images correctly placed in cells so the finished strip dose not jerk . Guess its simply a matter of the long steep learning curve

Gif movie gear is very easy to work with. Its free for the first 30 days, If I can find the link I will post it. Its really worth a try. Animation shop and myself don't get along very well. It is smarter than me.

A lot depends on what method you're using, so it's really hard to tell you what to do to correct the problem.

If you're doing GIFs - MS Gif Animator & Giffy are real easy to work with (as long as you remember to load the frames in reverse). Giffy just does a quick convert from gif to bmp or bmp to gif or bmp to transparent gif.

They're free. I just can't remember where I found them

Animation Shop isn't difficult to work with, and the export frame to PSP is really nifty for touch ups, and tweaks.

THanks one and all got the anamation to function some what satisfactorily but need to understand how to use in Desktopx and simular apps as this seem to take strips in ping form and then animate?

I believe DX uses PNG bitstrips. A strip of 'frames' running from left to right, or top to bottom if I'm not mistaken.
