Some Tasks don't appear in OD+

When I open some programs, they do not appear as tasks in the dock. If I close OD and restart they are there. This only happens with a few programs. I was wondering what the problem was and if there is a way I could fix it.

Some of the are 1st Page Webeditor, WSFTP Lite, Virtualdub, and a database program called Youthtrack. Some of these are older or freeware programs, that might me the problem.
