2. Scroll to bottom of page hit the site meter that could show some reasons
3. The site is still new Still have some renovations to be done.(in the program) it was built from the ground up.
4. Their having to use pestacides for all the buggs they keep finding, and trying to find the source.
5. They are working around the clock to fix the problems and changing things to make it better and answering our questions.
6. Continue to do business as usual.
My self I think there doing one excellent job. And between you and me if I were to see there to do list, you would be picking me off the floor.
I hope this might help

Yes and that's the sad part of it all...

That's the tell-tale. Usually when checking the number it's around 900 to 1200.
These are situations that cannot be catered for prior to going online with the new site.
It wasn't until the site was in full public use that any speed issues could be tested and resolved...

I thought so, but I can't help thinking that this is no longer the case. I am aware that the site is still under construction, but I agree with kona that more screening should have been done before the switch.
Remember when we where (slighlty) annoyed by the d e l e t e -bug on the old site? Right now I wish the old site back.
But I try to be patient, and things will hopefully improve soon.

I also think the new format has made the forum a lot more visible than the old messageboard and therefore more folks are using it.

And hey aufisch...maybe we can come up with a schedule so we won't time each other out

I don't visit this messageboard much anymore. Waiting two minutes to open a thread tests my patience and I invariably click onto another website before the page loads.
The new site was supposed to be soooo much faster. It is, in fact, much slower than the old site
I've been here fifteen minutes now and this is only the third thread I've been in

If you check out this link -> http://waoarea.com/bbclone/ look at the robot numbers. This was set up 12/20/2004 and I got hit that many times by robots. It's even a small site. Then if you check the details, anything in a red highlight is a bot, from there you can see how often they hit. That's my visual proof
Ok, done with that idea.

I know what you mean Fuzzy...I'm sorry to say it's to the point that I'm not here that much anymore. Except when I hit a time when the pages load, then I try to respond to as many threads as I can. But usually it doesn't last.
I feel if this isn't resolved soon it's going to hurt this site alot. And considering all these problems, not just the forums, I'd be putting the old site back up until this stuff is ironed out a lot better. Because if people who are already subscribers are unhappy with this, I can't imagine many new people signing up. I can imagine people saying things like...man...if their site is this slow...whats their software like? Not a good thing. I hope things are speeded up soon.

There are also many times when pages simply don't load at all. This happens mostly in the forums. So what has happened to the speed we were told we would have? Is it still in the works or is this it?
