Cannot update icons

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this same problem. When I click on the update button, it takes me to the page that uploads new icons, without the information from the icon that I want to update. So basically, I can't update anything.
Also, I have a suggestion for the suggestion box if there is one. If not...maybe there could be!! It would make updating life a lot simpler if we didn't have to wait for moderation again when all we want to do is something like add a link to our comments on our icons. Is there a way that could be set up? Just asking.
