Bootskin and XP SP2 Problems

Monday, January 17, 2005 by winchange | Discussion: Skinning

Has anyone figured out how to make Bootskin work in XP with SP2. It locks up on reboot everytime. You then have to start in safe mode and unistall.
Any ideas?

I've not yet heard anything and it happens with others too... I mean I just reformated my computer and didn't update XP yet and I still have the same problem...I've been using Boot Skin for a year and when I first downloaded it, I burned the .exe file to disk and that's the only one that I've EVER been able to use.

I know that there are 3 versions available at Stardock, did you try all three of them, though none of them work for me, they might for you...I'm not sure why the one I have on disk works, but it does, but it's not available for download anymore, Sorry....
