Task bar System tray problems

I'm having a problem getting all open items to show up in my system tray and task bar. There is an empty space where the item should be but no logo.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PhotoImpact doesn't show up in the taskbar. ZoneAlarm doesn't in the system tray. Neither does windowblinds.
