minimized screenshots?

when i have the minimized screenshot box checked, my aim icon shows the screenshot but the other things i have on the taskbar (mozilla thunderbird and firefox, for example) show the screenshot and then disappear and the icon becomes tiny, like the screenshot is still there. is there any reason why that might be? thanks!
