Paint Shop Pro

I want to purchase Paint Shop Pro. Should I purchase PSP 8 or PSP 9? I would like to learn how to create skins with it and my wife would like to use it to modify digital family pics that she takes. Is PSP 9 worth paying the extra money or is PSP 8 my better option? What are the differences?

I'm not sure what the differences are, but I've been using PSP8 and have been very satisfied with it.

I think 9 lets you clean up extracted bitmaps. I'd get 9 unless your trying to save money.

Also a PSP8 satisfied customer. I don't know if they fixed it in version 9 but the targa fomat does not work with Windowblinds. You have to export as a transparent PNG file a use Skinstudio to convert to TGA.

Actually 9 does format the targas to work you just have to import them after they've been altered. I really like 9. It's got alot of improvements from 8.
