how do you make a bootskin with only useing freeware?

A BootSkin only requires 2 images (both 16 color 4 bit) and a short coded .ini file (which can be done using notepad)
The images can be done or edited with MS Paint (the default graphic program of Windows)
The quickest way to learn is to open an existing BootSkin and replace the images with your own and edit the necessary fields on the .ini file.

Be absolutely certain that both images have the same palette or the results will be a disaster...
