six months ago my mom was diagnosed with cancer. during this time i have sought refuge here amongst the WC community. the laughter and fun i have had here has been a great help in keeping me from loseing my sanity during these stressful times. the concern here for each other and new comers is rare to find. i thank each and every one of you for the help and kindness i have recieved.
as of today we were informed that the DR's will do their best to keep mom going til thanksgiving.. but no promises. (we thought the cancer was starting to remit. but it came back with a vengance) so my free time will be devoted to spending as much time with mom as i can....
i will visit when i get the chance ..but for now i will not be on very often..

Last year I too lost 3 very important family members all within a months span. I know how these losses can be devastating. Look back with joy at the times you did have. Never give in to sadness. As I look back over the year I too have found some measure of relief here. May Father Universe be with you in this your time of need.

Been there myself very recently too HG. My own mother died from cancer in July at the age of 59.

Sorry, HG. Lost my sister a year ago to that ugly sickness. It's so undiscriminatory. I will pray for you and your family daily.

thank you all for your kind words... Mom passed wed the 24'th. her services will extend over 3 days since she was the churches home bound minister/mass coordinator/funeral services director.
the funeral the church has aranged is reserved for the Pope or a Bishop......i will return after we get her home in order...i thank you all for your support and kindness through this difficult time. every one here has been great...
