SysTray not working in DesktopX

Thursday, November 18, 2004 by crashdau | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I have DesktopX loaded at and work. When I use the system tray plugin on the home pc it doesn't show me the icons, but at work it does. Has anyone run into this situation? and how did you correct it? I uninstalled DesktopX ans reinstalled. I also insured the MCP settings were on.

Thanks,
Scott

I started having the same problem after updating to version 2.30.032, Also if I try to skin the system and task tray, Where the icons should be is a square hole. I sent in a report to stardock 2 weeks ago but have not received an answer yet. When and if I hear from them I will post their reply. To fix my problem I uninstalled version 2.30.032 and reinstalled version 2.21

Same deal here. Only icons that are showing up on mine are the speaker and desktopX everthing else is a transparent square.

It has probably something to do with the trayserver not loading. Try to Stardock Desktop X newsgroup and search for trayserver. Somebody probably posted a link to download it.
