Port?

I've noticed on some weather objects made to match certain windowblind themes it says ported with permission by so and so. I just want to know what does port mean?

If you copy another persons graphics/layout/style and use them in a different application, that is considered 'porting'. Like if I downloaded one of your DX calendars and coverted it to Rainlendar, I would be "porting" it.

That's what porting means in the customization world.
