start menu simply not skinning

I am using WB4.4 and downloaded several skins, but none of them seem to skin my start menu as shown in the preview pics, only the color of the skin gets applied to the start menu.
I tried altering some WB configs under user overrides etc. and searched the messageboards, but to no avail.
I´m running winXPpro and I do not have SP2 installed. P4 3,0HT, 9800pro, i875canterwood, 8.07 omegas

Any help would be nice!

Are you using a demo version of Windowblinds?

No, enhanced version. I recently switched from win98se to XPpro and upgraded WB to 4.4. In win98se the feature was disabled, but I thought it should work on XP...

When you switched to XP, did you do a clean install, or an upgrade? If you upgraded 98 to XP, this is likely the source of the problem.

Fixed. I had the "CLASSIC start menu" forced under controlpanel>taskbar and start menu>start menu. Now everything is fine.
