Cursor XP

Friday, October 15, 2004 by SnakeEyes86 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I installed it and it was working for like a minute then it like didnt show my desktop icons or my start memu tray. I had to go into safe mode to uninstall it, i just wanted to know if anyone else had any kind of problems like that. My specs are AMD Athlon 64 3000, with 512 Ram, ATI All in Wounder 9600XT and Windows XP with S2. I doubt its my hardware, so i dono.

It does not work with Athlon 64 processors when running SP2 and with DEP enabled.

Stardock are working on resolving this.

Any idea on when they will fix it? Cursor XP has become one of my favorite programs and I miss it now that I have spent 3 grand on this new 64 bit system

You can change c:\boot.ini so that the line saying "/noexecute=optin" says "/execute" instead. This will allow it to function correctly. You can put that back for the next version (assuming it fixes the problem!)
