Windowblinds fails to apply the selected skin

Hi there ,I have a problem with the latest versions of WB.From v.4.30 and up to the latest release , when I pick up a skin and I press "Apply" I get only the colors on my GUI
but no skin on taskbar and start menu.In order to have them properly skinned I must now choose the skin I want ,turn off Windowblinds, turn it on again ,than press "Apply". Only now I have it all skinned,and sometimes I had to reboot too.
Needless to say I tried to uninstall than reinstall WB, with no success. Obviously this is not the way it's meant to function and I really would appreciate if anyone could help me and anyone who experiences the same problem. I'm running XP sp1 ,pentium 4 3.0 ghz.Never had a problem before v.4.30 .The last working skin installation was the Alienware Suite frome that time , up to the present , my life is very, very poor !!! I thank in advance for its time and understanding anyone who can fix this malfunction.May God bless you all!

a shot in the dark....when you uninstalled WB, did you reboot before reinstalling? If all ealse fails you can go back to V4.3 if you archived previously.
