Widgets

Tuesday, September 28, 2004 by TranquilChant | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I have both WindowBlinds and StyleXP installed on my computer. I never use them in conjunction but I've noticed that, when I download a theme or an msstyle or a WBA that, from screenshots, have things like clocks, RAM display, CPU display, HDD display, etc (widgets?), they don't show up when I load in the skin. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Depends what the clocks/meters are made for.  Some are Desktop X widgets, in which case you need to install Desktop X, and some are SysMetrix skins, for which you need Sysmetrix.  Most of the time, when a skinner has other apps showing on his screenshot, he tells what it is in his description.

Desktop X: https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx
Sysmetrix: http://www.xymantix.com/sysmetrix/index.html

Oh, ok. Thanks paxx. I didn't know that widgets were for a completely different program.
