.Ico Files Dont Seem To Work. Help?
Monday, September 27, 2004 by WonderB | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
I D/Led Some Individual Icon Files From WIncustomize (.Ico Files) For Some Proggies (BitTorrent & Acrobat). When I Try And Change The Icons For These Progs Wether By Right Clicking On The File And Choosing Properties Then Going To The Icons Tab .. OR .. Through The Icon Packager Program Itself, It Tells Me Thier Were No Icon Files Found.
Even Though They Have Ico Extensions. Icon Developer Opens Them Up No Problem. And When I Browse To Them In Icon Pacakager And CHoose Only To See Icon FIle Types - They Show Up.
this Isnt Just One Rogue Icon . Its All The Icons .. Whole Packages Work, Just Not Individual Ones. Any1 Know Whats Going On??
Thanks.

I dunno, just a though. Maybe the said program only support a specific icon size, or a specific number of colors for the icon. Now, ICO's can include icons for all sizes and different number of colors.  Maybe the ICO's you are trying to use don't include the actual icon size and/or number of colors that the programs are expecting to find.
Just a thought. Otherwise, no clue. Good luck.

In other words, you will have to build this package from scratch.
