blinds, sysmatrix those thing slowing down my system .... any suggestion??

I have installed winblind, object desktop, Theme manager, boot skin, logon studio, sysmatrix and those things that i can get from here. The problem is my pc is running P4 2.0 ghz and Ram 256, and it takes some time loading to windows, damm I just hate waiting. Man Dont U hate waiting?? Is there's any sugesstion for me regarding this?? Dont tell me upgrading my Ram size will help OK ..

What is slowed down exactly? You said it takes time to load Windows? Meaning booting is longer? Or even once it's booted it's still slow?
BTW: I know you don't want to hear it, but 256 Megs of RAM is the bare minimum to run XP. A big chunk of it is used by the OS itself, which leaves you only the remaining crumbs to actually get things done. You hard disk must be swapping like crazy. An advice: upgrade to 512 and you won't believe the speed difference you'll see.
BTW: what do you have for a video card?
Also, in the short list you gave, nothing should have an impact at all compared to running your computer without any of them. On the other hand, other software such as Object Dock, Windows FX or Desktop X can make a difference, especially if you have a low end video card or if your video drivers aren't up to date. WOuld you be using any of these 3 per chance?

Of the programs that you mentioned, only sysmetrix and windowblinds would use any memory at all.
The problem definitely seems to be a memory problem. I think you probably knew that all along but you wanted help to avoid it. Sorry, my friend. There is really no way. Those memory manager programs really don't work.
You can never have enough memory when you want to run many programs. I learned that a long time ago. I always maxed out my memory on my systems. My first maxed out at 128MB(PII 200 mhtz) and my second system maxed at 384MB (PIII 750mhtz). I had three 128MB chips in that one.
Now, I have a P4 3.0 ghtz with 1GB Ram. This is the way to go. You'll want a least a GB on a P4 system. Most P4 systems allow you to have as much as 2GB to 4GB of memory. I have absolutely no problems with memory, but my processor helps too. I can run everything now and I still stay way above 500MB free ram.
I suggest that you get two 512MB chips. They are the most common. You can combine them with your 128 chips. I assume that you probably have two 128 chips in your system, and four memory slots(2 available). I wouldn't waste money getting two more 128 MB chips. Because, then you can't upgrade further without losing two chips and therefore wasting your money. If you ever want to run some of the more memory extensive programs,(DesktopX or Games, or Autocad rendering), you'll want at least a GB of memory. Your system will take memory based on what's available too. You might not notice a big change in available memory if you get 512MB(128x4) on your system. This is because your programs no longer have to settle for virtual memory with the swap file. Memory is cheap these days too. If you get two 512MB, you can still upgrade further too. Plus, until you do, you will have a total of 1.2 GB of RAM.

Well, one Gig is really nice. But if you can't affort it, definately consider 512 Megs as I said. I have 512 on my laptop and I'm not having any problems whatsoever. Of course, the more the better, but I say that 512 is the minimum for an enjoyable experience with XP.

hey Bdr i was running only to 256 meg of ram, and just put in another stick of 256 in and it loads up quick as ever. That is my suggestion. good luck.

DesktopX, Object Dock and WindowFX depends actually a lot on the gfx card and the processor, more than the RAM. As I said, I have 512 on my laptop right now and I run all these without a hitch. I have a P4 2.4 and a NVidia GeForce 4200. The only times I wish I had more RAM is when I have to open large 300 Megs images in Photoshop.

wow talking hardware ... mann that's gonna cost me lots of cash .. well .. I'm using ATI radeon 9200 se 128mb .. update the driver to ATI 9200 Game buster. Also l've disabled alot of my running services in order to recover the loading speed(windows loading- not bootup). Looks like there's no other choice for me.

Maybe you could ask your really understanding girlfriend if you could skip a couple of the expensive dinner dates and go to Jack-In-The-Box for the next two weeks, so that you can buy some Ram for your computer....hmm..nevermind.
