about adding sounds to skins

Sunday, September 19, 2004 by xDeVsFaN1830x | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I have a skin that i really like but the author didnt put any sounds in it. There are sounds in another skin that i have that i like but i dont like the look of the skin. Is there anyway to take the sounds from that one and put them in the other? I have SkinStudio free incase that matters.

Yes, but the instructions are quite extensive. Basically, you want to copy the sound files to the skin folder that you want the sounds. Then, you need to open SS and add the sound attribute to the buttons, and, choose your wav file. Then, you need to turn the titlebar button sounds on for the skin. That attribute is in the personality section of SS, called "SoundsEnable". You may need to add that attribute too, and set it to enable, or "1".

duff masta .. easyer way is .. to go in to "my computer/controll panel/ sounds and multimedia/ sounds tab".... in there you can choose the sounds you want for the P.C.events you want ...such as window minimize, Etc... use the browse button to look for sounds in your pc to use ... this way if you like a certain set of sounds .. it wont change from skin to skin....
