Is there a way to get wallpapers that....

Or just having any animated desktop wallpapers for people to use, i will use the alienware wmp skinmode as an example...there is a blue wave that emits from the centre of the player and you can see it on teh outer edges...but what if we could make a wallpaper that did the same thing, where it is just a wavy animation emitted from the centre of the desktop
I am just wondering if it is possible or if it might be possible in a little while when more complex and compress coding and scripting is made.
Having a animated night to day desktop would look pretty impresive

Not necessarily if you use tricks like Stardock are doing with DesktopX. They offload the animation of destop objects etc to the graphics card. It's a great idea when usually all that 3D power is not doing anything while displaying 2D windows, documents etc etc.

Well, that would be a good idea if you don't use your computer but just wants to state at the wallpaper all day.
