I read this arcticle and I have to say it made me think. Our society doesn't exactly like children at all. 40+ work weeks, dual family mother/father working or single parent working.
Social Security??
I don't think so...
So the population is going down. Where are we at now, 5 Billion people on the planet? 2050 is not looking good.
So what are you waiting for? go and have more people, people!

We've got one, a boy, and I would like to at least have a sibling for him, but right now he's going through the TERRIBLE twos. In foct, when I got home yesturday evening she told me if I even look at her in that way ever again she'd kill me in my sleep. 
(She'd had an especially rough day with him that day) 
So I guess a sibling's out for now.

Wife went to the doctor to ensure that it was the last also.
Btw I have two frinds with eight each I thin they make up the extra 1.3 that my wife is supposed to have

sapphira thinks that it's just ot that simplistic. fewer people will not mean less crime if the fewer people are a bunch of freaks. behavior is affected by numbers of people, perhaps, but ultimately it is about values...
as to Social Security, it wasn't ever supposed to be a sole payment for retirement anyway, so START SAVING AND INVESTING for your future. to not do this smacks too much of letting the government have absolute control over sapphira's life, and she doesn't like that....
besides, typically a new waeve of immigration produces a larger working base to pay for entitlements of preceding groups, so perhaps we should welcome and benefit our newcomers a bit more kindly? after all, at some point all of our families were at that particular stage of the great capitalist experiment that we know and love....
as to women's guilt, the tables have turned and women who stay at home typically feel more guilt in our current culture [question at social functions to stay-at-home: so what do you DO with your life?]
sapphira thinks she is going to relax and have as many children as she is comfortable with and be happy and content.....she cannot solve the world problems alone

I don't know, when I take a serious look around the world I feel horrible I'm responsible for bringing my kids here... (But I have no doubt I'll be paying back for it until I die)

Bottom line for me is if I knew what I know now I may have spared my kids but since they are here my life now is trying to make it up to them since they never asked to be brought here...

Dor, I did once, and only once. When my mom died, I told my dad that if I knew what pain they'd eventually have to go through..I would have never had them. He held me and said.. Please, don't think that way, You loved mom, why would you want to deny your kids that kind of love?

Nah you will do fine China w/ the girls silly, guess that's about all we can do is try our best, that part is not the prob for me I can deal w/ doing the mom thing it's the other external things I have no control over that scares the hell out of me and makes me sad when I think of them in this world.
As for right now all I'm thinking is that these two guys are lil pacmans in disguise! (just got back from taking them out to eat)
