IconX is gone from DesktopX install as IconX is a standalone installer, still useable.
WB works fine with SP2, try download OD+ again there was some issues thats been fixed IIRC.
Latest DX beta works fine with SP2 but I see your problem with the "about tab" for 2.19o though 2.19p fixed that appart from that it is stable. If your objects and such are crashing did you make them? if so they might need updated if you ran 1.9. WindowsFX is working fine aswell under SP2, what Catalyst drivers you running perhaps it might be that?? updated your sound drivers aswell, possibility?

Thanks for the tips. Wow! you were right about the need to defrag after SP2 install. It made a major difference. I have the latest catalyst drivers for my ATI card and also for the Audigy 2 so I assume I'm good there. I noticed that DesktopX 2.19q[b].002 was made available today so I installed that and it is much better (the "about" tab crash is fixed now too). I noticed that the DesktopX configuration menu shows up now after every reboot. I'm not knowledgeable enough yet to create my own objects but I hope to try in the near future.
ObjectDock Plus is good except for the taskbar item always popping up when I click on the desktop.
WindowsFX is working great now.
I think I'll get Windowblinds loaded up.
Again, thanks for the help vf
Where can I get IconX as a seperate item?

Ummm...what exactly is that? I looked all over Stardocks website and found nothing.
-Ohhhh. Stardock Central. I checked and there is no IconX listed there.

Thanks for the link.
Is there a difference between purchasing Object Desktop and gradually purchasing each app seperately over time? I have just about all apps from OD except Skin Studio and now, of course, IconX. Is that why it does not show up in my Stardock Central? I'm a bit bummed that I have to pay $10 more now to have IconX when I used to get it thru DesktopX. I really don't mind paying for it as I've payed more than $49.95 for what I already have and consider it a more than worthy investment. Oh well.....I'm off to click another "buy" button.
