Problems with Stardock Central

I know this isn't a support forum... but I visit this site every day, so hopefully you'll fogive me .

I just installed a new copy of XP with SP2 and with all the updates (plus Java, shockwave, etc... not like that matters, but anyway...)

I downloaded Stardock Central, installed it, and when I try to open it I get:

Failed to load XML database, please reinstall the program to correct the problem.

So... after 10 reinstalls and registry tweaks, it still does it. Bah!

Anyone know whow to fix this? Am I supposed to download some XML program? I never had to before...

I just upgraded to XP Pro (no SP2 yet), and am also having exactly the same problem you are. I uninstalled the 2.0 version of Stardock and reinstalled the old 1.2 version I had on a backup disc, and it installed perfectly..... except that I get errors when I go to Restore my various ObjDesktop programs I purchased (and that worked previously without a hitch). Either I'm overlooking something or something is amiss! Any suggestions would be appreciated! My hardware, etc is the same as before upgrading to XP my firewall is configured correctly and I even shut it down to try restoring the programs, and it made no difference whatsoever. What could be wrong? Goes without saying, I'm in the middle of my year's subscription to the software, so I'm kinda disappointed.

I got a reply today from a message I'd sent to support, and I was directed to a newer version of Stardock Central than I had downloaded two days ago. This version worked without a hitch!
