Now THIS is what I was looking for: Frozen CPU

Saturday, August 14, 2004 by joetheblow | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Take a look at this baby:
http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/cas-109.html

I have seen modified computer cases but at Frozen, there seems to be a nice collection of really nice designed cases and other parts.

I could spend thousands on part that don't have anything to do with the actual computing!

WHAT!!!

THAT IS CRAZY!!! My friend wanted to start a computer business about putting computers together. I wanted to be apart of it and use Object Desktop to make a look for our computers and give our customers updates on newer skins and modifications.

Now I found the site to buy customer mods for cases and internals!!!

It makes me cry! Look at this stuff! Its a miracle!!!

Bling Bling

Heavymetal

Thebestcasescenario

V8

Just a few examples of true case-moddings - I'm not much of a fan of those pre-modded cases, they take the 'modding' out of case-modding
(but is good for those that seek the easy/boring solution)

WOW!! Nice links Snowman. I didn't know you could make your own mod case so fast and so cheaply. The first link was incredible. I hope this "build a computer for you" thing works. I have some crazy ideas for some mods and skins.

For $599+ I'll build my own box and slide the PC into it.

But it is nice.

Some people just plain have too much money and too much time one their hands... Some of these cases would cost more than my comp just in parts...

hehe...although those do look cool (hey... i modded mine to have a side window, and i added color l.e.d. fans), but you should seriously consider buying an radeon x800 to boost you computer performance BEFORE you invest on something like that...

plus, we're all skinners here and we all have some artistic talent, why not do it ourselves?

There is a difference between doing things in the digital realm and doing things in the real world. Handicraft like this is quite a different beast to tackle.

JTB, those pages are extremely slow, I still haven't been able to open them.

Gosh, that first page took forever to open(I tried a few times yesterday). It wasn't that much to it either. I mean it wasn't a huge picture. Sheesh, how do they expect to sell anything when their pages work like that. Oh well, I still like my see through crystal blue case with the blue l.e.d. fans the best. The only case that I like better than mine is the Alienware case. But, mostly because of the system that comes with it.

Not money... time. It looks like to me if you have the basic in tools/equiptment you can put this stuff together in a few hours over a week.

It looks like fun. It also seems strangely familiar to skinning as in: I don't like how this looks and I want something that works for me.

I think its all too cool!!!

UBoB....that's my ideal case modding....some people take it way too seriously....as if a blue led is going to pixelshade quicker.....

When I'm building a system from scratch it often ends up looking like that one. Mostly due to my lack of patience when things don't fit/work right.

UBoB, you forgot to use the handyman's secret weapon DUCT TAPE.

Ever see the Red Green show? Looks like something Red would do for Harold.
