I mean policy is policy and I totally understand the legal ramifications of international trademark and copyright infringement.
I guess what I am shocked about is how about 5-6 of my bootskins were rejected over 2-3 months ago due to this policy.
Now I see almost daily, exceptions being made to such a rule.
I am kinda curious how these decisions are made...???

In particular...Bootskins, Wallpapers and Logons...if they are exactly nothing more than a 'borrowed' wall, image or screenshot from another person or proprietor, used without prior consent or without notification of public redistribution copyright/waver, will not be accepted.
In you case, no evidence was provided that LucasFilm consented to your reproduction and distribution of their images via Bootskins submitted to this site.
Provide verification of 'free distribution' rights or specific personal consent and they can be accepted.

You don't have to prove anything to me but I WOULD LOVE to see this...
Because they rarely release anything to anyone...without $$$.
These legalities sometimes are the shield people use to screen the art they personally like...
It matters little to me anymore I just wanted clarification.
Seems like some people get preferential treatment that is all...
@HORIZ0N
You are TOTALLY right about the BLATANT ones...
Blind eyes...seems like it affects many people here.
There are many sites where these skins could be accepted without a moment's hesitation...I don't go there because like I said...I was looking for clarification.
The only way to change things it to point out what needs to be changed...and make suggestions.
I suggest this sites uses fair and concise screening methods.
It would be too pleasant if the proper people were contacted about copyright infringements.
Especially when the disclaimer says that any and all images can have the potential to be used in future skin packs to be sold....
Makes ya say...shouldn't we go through our skins and pull out the ILLEGAL ones?

Very innacurate. There's a checkbox on the upload form that either says you agree or don't with allowing your uploads to be included on skin CD's any point in the future. If you don't agree, just don't check the box.
