Open up your desktop in a browser and right-click on the image => properties and copy the image link which would be this without the spaces http :// skins2.wincustomize.com/ MichaelBrandt/ desktop.jpg then in the desktop thread, click on the little blue postagestamp thingy below the smilies, in the popup paste the link to your desktop image

You need the file on the web somewhere, [some webspace? your website? etc] then hotlink to it using simple phpBB-like code..
IE: [ img ]http:therest.jpg[ /img ]
** make sure you DON'T leave spaces in the image tags. I had to give spaces or this forum would have interpreted the code as an actual URL hehe...Make sure you include the FULL url path to the image.
