Hope everyone came through unscathed. No bones broken. No fireworks burns. Someone just informed me that today is the 6th of July. What happened to the 5th of July? Well you know now how mine was! >

I visited my Dad & relatives. Went to a family reunion. The best part was seeing MY family. My hubby's reunion went ok. The kids got tired from the hot sunny days. Things are back to "normal."

Had a fine weekend, spent the 4th seeing Spider-Man 2, then had a bbq with my parents. Spent yesterday being lazy, which is a hell of a lot of fun . Took today off of work as well to stretch it into a 4-day weekend, and I've taken the car in for some major maintenance/repair in preparation for my annual trek to Comic-Con International in San Diego in a couple of weeks. Yay, vacation!!!

split a little wood....got skeeter bit...noted the deerflies are out.....had big ole steak....had a campfire...got a little woozy 
(lightweight) 
......took pictures of campfire while woozy....brother in law's wife still scared of me so she wouldn't come over with brother in law.....(she's on a mission to rip off mother in law and I had to kinda get in her face last winter and let her know it isn't gonna fly) 
.....watched two grown men make fools of themselves cuz they went a little too far past woozy ......fed 'em....doled out aspirin.....made a morning campfire.....swatted skeeters.....fed birds....took pictures of birds.....watched tourists drive up and down the road (watching the rivah flow) with expensive suv's and boats and campers......griped about not getting to go fishing ....put up a couple of sheets of drywall...swatted skeeters......

Was wonderful...went to bed early, bout 9pm, opened my window to hear the boom's and woke-up at 1am to get my hubby and the girls off for their trip to calif. ( my week vacation began ) WOot!

Pleasant...went up near Albany, NY and read all four Dan Brown books in 48 hours.

Played in sons pool, watched hubby cook steak... had friend pass out before fireworks... took shaky pictures(no flash on digi for "best " effect ) the next day we drove 600 mile round trio, so my hubby can have an affordable work truck. Never gonna do that again.

The trip was worth it though, a week on the beach is worth the drive
