wobbly screen

Please help
wobbly screen with lines going up it rather like when the vert hold goes on a tv.
Have done a virus scan, updated drivers, scan disk.
Please tell me whats wrong?

deguas the monitor?
plug monitor into wall if plugged into psu at this time?
change boxes to a different outlet?

Anyone know why when I change my theme the taskbar and menu still have the previous theme? please
I have disabled xplorer bars on the windows menu

Seems I have a dying monitor on my hands. Any suggestions which would be best for the specs I have?
Ive been looking at the Philips 170S4FG. Would this one be ok ?

Try unloading Windowblinds and then run it again. In some rare instances, some skins "leave behind" traces. I think maybe it's just a difference in what is skinned and what is not skinned in different WB skins. I also think I'm getting in over my head.

IMO, the specs you quoted are insufficient data for a monitor recommendation. Much would depend on intended use, lighting conditions, space availability, et al.

Really sorry about the problems you had Cygnus. Will check the fans and see if I can borrow a monitor from a friend.
As to the monitors suggested well I live in the Uk and only have £300 to spend at most as hubby wont let me go any higher. Hes offered to sell his motorbike too, bless him.
He doesnt know a thing about computers but knows the pleasure I get with my online friends and with the themes etc.

Just remember not to go up over 1280x1024 on resolutuin with it or you might have to plaster your face on the screen to see things in games
