New visual theme from Microsoft

Tuesday, June 29, 2004 by PixelPirate | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Looks like the boys in Redmond have created a new theme for Windows. Perhaps it's going to be a part of SP2?

Here's the link for screenshots and download.

Looks like a glossy version of Luna and reminds me a lot of the new Media Player 10 look.

2 days and still no WB port.
What's going on? You'd think people are actually making their own skins or something......

Its certaintly not horrible, but its a bandwagon job. They have just done what 85% of people are doing at the moment and adding a gloss effect to everything.

not trying to rain on anyone's parade here but...aren't there some permission issues involved in this? Or is Microsoft considered fair game?

(just asking out of curiosity more than anything else)

I don't think you really need permission to port crap like that. Microsoft is probably happy that someone takes the time to give crap like that publicity.

I think they should have paid for the MSN9 skin here and used that one. It is awesome.

I'd port it if I could find it...

It needs other color options...

They only call it that in France. I don't know what a Whopper is called. I didn't go to Burger King.

(Pulp Fiction to those who don't know what the heck I'm talking about.)

It doesn't need other color options, it needs a complete make over.
