Password

I put in a password for DesktopX, but when I try to use it, it says wrong password. I know the password is correct.
I can't get to the edit part now.
Does anyone know how to disable the password? Or have any solution to this?

I found out how to fix it with windows xp.
I just restored my computer to a previous date and it fixed it.
