How do I change an icon

I downloaded an icon package but I can't change my recycle bin or the origanel my docs and my com . How do I do it?

One word of advice. Don't change your default icon associations.

If you do. Open it and clik on the 'Icons and Cursors' icon and the icons you want to change. Click on the 'Change..' button and browse for the icon you wan to use.
BTW, which icon pack are you trying to install?
It seems odd that it is not changing the main icons of the system.
