Screen Resolution makes my Task Bar and font tiny.

Sunday, June 13, 2004 by Ninjazx10 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I bought Object Desktop for $49.94. In the process of installing cursors, skins, themes or something the task bar has become so tiny, I can barely read it. The same is true for the font sizes. Tiny and almost unreadable. I am afraid to go in the Control Panel and change the resolution for fear that what I loaded may depend on this resolution and I will wind up with a mess. I'll wait a couple of days to see if there are any ideas, before I start over with XP's vanilla set up.

It is possible that a WB skin you applied didn't have the fonts defined correctly. Does this happen with all WB skins or just one? Also, at least for WB resolution shouldn't matter.

First things first.....let's keep your ongoing problems in one thread or we'll never get to the bottom of any of it....

What is your resolution set at now?

I do have another question....and I don't want you to take this the wrong way.....but do you have a clue what you're doing in so far as changing settings on your computer? We need to know before we give any advice, so we know what you will and won't understand.

I wasn't aware that any theme would change your resolution without you knowing about it. At the very least I would think you'd get a prompt asking you if you want to confirm the change.
But besides that you should be aware of what resolution you prefer, since there are many themes (in DesktopX) that work only on certain resolutions.
Mentioning here what specific themes you are currently using that may have caused the issue would be helpful also.

Seeing as there are now two threads from this person with some problems, I suspect they don't really know what they are doing with regards to ODNT. Ninjazx should contact Stardock support for more direct help than this board can provide.

Stephen - you have no confidence in my ability to read minds....

Watch this:

Ninjazx10 - Go to Control Panel/Display Properties/Settings. Change Screen Resolution Slider to: 1024 x 768.

If the College of Cardinals finds out you stole someone's pretty face, there will be no white smoke for you.
