Couple of guesses...

1) Check that you don''''t have it turned off by mistake. Go to WB Config->My Animations and see what''s Selected there.

2) Are you using the shareware version? It might be a feature that''s disabled in the shareware version.

And a early Windowblind version might be the problem.

Watson suspects a very early version is being ran with the most up to date skins

If you don't see them, then I bet you have an older version of Windowblinds. You need to get version 4.3...try updating it and see if that works.

windowblinds 4 build 103

You need 4.2 or later for toolbar icons, and animations.

4.20
-
-The WindowBlinds Advanced Configuration program (wbconfig.exe)
has been set as the default interface via the shortcuts. You can still
change visual styles using Display Properties.
-Supports toolbar skinning on Windows XP or later.
-Supports animations for copy/move/delete progress dialogs (all platforms)
-Includes SmartPainting support on 9x/2000
-Supports 9x platforms. Please note that this is more or less the end
of the line in terms of skinning additional 9x controls. Even adding
support for the slider controls cost more GDI resources, which on 9x
are coming from a finite 128K pool for the entire system. This build
does improve GDI resource usage over previous 4.x beta builds for
9x, but there's a limit to how much blood can be wrung from the stone.
-Performance optimizations and fixes
-Fix for TGA painting issues on WB load and with buttons in some apps

If you have WindowsXp then you know about compatibility. You have a new version of Skin Studio, and you wonder why it is not compatibile with a old version of Windowblinds? Come on, stop pulling my leg..

I have hyperthreading on my new processor. Why can't Windows98 use it? Silly question isn't it?

Well, I'm glad you got it sorted out. I won't ask where you got a Skin Studio that installed Windowblinds along with it though.

Relax, have fun, joke around and stay awhile. No offense intended.

And, I was right wasn't I? It was a early version of windowblinds. Sorry, if you felt insulted later. Relax, have fun..yadda yadda.

Monday, May 13, 2002 - SkinStudio XP Stardock has released SkinStudio XP. A program that combines WindowBlinds and SkinStudio into a single package. Designed specifically for Windows XP, SkinStudio XP modifies Windows XP to natively support WindowBlinds visual styles. Upon installation, an "add, edit, and delete" button is added to XP's appearance dialog along with several new visual styles. Read on for more details.
