oxymoron

submitting ads, for print, to an aol email address.

that really irks me.

i've got to hack the quality down (compress the pdf) to get a file size aol won't spit back at me.. but its still gotta be good enough res to go to a printer and come out on press. they have something against me sending it to the printer myself, and forwarding them a lower quality image... if any of you are running a company from an aol email adress.. xxXXxxX... hehe. please consider the options of using file servers if you have to do that!

Do you have a server that you could put the file on that your client could downlod from? I sometimes put files on my web server, give people the URL, give them time to get the file, then I delete it. Just a thought...

i always suggest that, they never go for it except for the printers, they always jump at the chance. nothing beats a hand delivery but .. i don't always know what market i'm sending these things too..

It seems to me that you're the customer if you're paying some publisher to run your ad. If you tell them that you're unhappy with printing a low quality ad and they won't take steps to accomodate you then you can [kindly] let them know that you can take your business to another, more accomodating publisher.
