If it`s actually "fried", not until you get a new one !

Its a typo. fried is supposed to be fries.

Fries or fried either one, to me at least, implies: burns up, frazzles, kills, destroys, permanently incapacitates... along those lines.
My guess (as well as the first two respondents` and kona`s) is IP means it seems to hog up resources or RAM and bogs down the responsiveness of his system.
Of course, DesignCaddy's response brought that all to light.
ANYWAYS: My approach, if I wanted to keep the suite loaded, would basically be to start trimming bells and whistles, both within the suite and anywhere else among active processes (mainly startup programs/components) and hope that, before too long, you regain a tolerable responsiveness.

I just upgraded myself to a P4 3 Ghtz with 1 GB of ram and right now I''m typing this on a friends computer because configuring this sucker with windows 98 and XP is a nightmare.
So, it might be better to just get more ram. More ram never hurts either. I just want to be ready for Half Life 2.

). So I uninstalled it. The uninstall borked my pc so I had to restore from back-up...Reply #18 Friday, June 4, 2004 1:38 PM
Since your system is probably 3 or 4 years old, I''ll bet enough RAM to fill your system up is fairly cheap ! (perhaps on the order of $100 or so ???).
Crucial (has a good rep., confirm this for yourself !) has a pretty good tool for figuring out exactly which RAM chips you need and of course they sell them: http://www.crucial.com/
