What tool to you guys use to create SYSMETRIX template?

Thursday, May 20, 2004 by mnunes | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hey everyone,

I need some assistance every day I see new templates for Sysmetrix my question is what tool are you guys using create these awsome templates.

Someone told me you could create them using Sysmetrix but all I see in the configuration window is import and export. I not sure where everyone is getting these funky designs and would like to create a few myself if pointed in the right direction.

Hope someone can help me out...

Thanks,
eieio

The graphics are made with PS or Paint Shop Pro mostly.
Although some people use other graphics programs.

Imagination is the main tool, though.

As Pictoratus mentioned, you can use any graphic program to create the templates.
I always sketch the template on a paper to have an idea of what and how I want the skin to look, then I use a graphic program (in my case, PhotoShop7) to create it

Apocalypse_67 how do you shape windows cut out parts that you dont need.... I wanted to merge temples together so that it makes and "L" shape... on the top left corner but when I merge them there is the bottom right part that is just plain white... how do I get rid of the bottom right hand side where there is nothing....?

Hope you can help...

turn it to the hot pink color mentioned in the tutorial in sysmetrix and it will make the white go away

Can someone give more detail on how to do what I mentioned above using Adobe Photoshop 7.0?

Double click on the foreground color (the little icon that has a balck & white square) and when the Color Picker window opens, change the R, G, B settings to 255, 0, 255.
This will give you the 'magic pink' color that you will use on all the parts that you want to appear invisible.
