Can someone help me...?

When you click Start > All Programs(it may be different on yours, but you get it) It comes up with a menu of all the programs in say "c:\Program Files"
My question is this. Is there a way so I can make it all go into like 10 folders, with sub menu's in that folder?
Like if I click on a folder called... Art programs, it would come up with all the programs that I put in there?

Sure, it''s actually very simple, just navigate to the following folders, and organize them any way you like. All you do is create a new folder (Art, Music, Games, etc.), then put any programs in the folders.
I''m using WinXP, here are the paths on my system.
C:\Documents and Settings\$$$UserName$$$\Start Menu\Programs
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
Between the both of those, you will find all the programs...
P.S. My way looks fancier than Essencay''s...but yeah, what he said works too....

I really got frustrated with seeing my whole Start > Program Files take up my whole screen. (And none of them are spyware programs like that crap.)

I do it a easier way. I just right click on any program folder in the All Programs section and then click open. Then, I click the Up Arrow on the toolbar in the opened folder. This takes you to the root of the All Programs section. You can then add folders and arrange things as you see fit.

Thanks all again. I finally got it down from the whole screen to just 10 master folders, the sub menues are crazy as hell thou. but it's all good. Now I just got to get used to this. Thanks again.

remember the difference between 'all users' and 'your name' in the 'c:\documents and settings' folder. some programs install spacifically to the all users folder, and some only to your own. it helps sometimes to explor the folders, as mentioned above, and organize them by syncronizing the two folders or moving all of your items into one of them. i am the only user on my home machine, but i still move all programs into the 'all users' menu.. most spacifcally, items in the start up folder, just in case i do make another account or if i have to log in only as an administrator. it keeps things clean and easy to find.

If you open explore all users instead, be aware that making changes here affects every user on your computer, not just you.
final note....make sure your moving shortcuts around in your C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Start Menu\Programs folder. do not move anything around in your C:\Program Files folder or you may cause a program not to work.
