I keep getting spam about software being sold at very "reasonable" prices.
If they bother to send you anything, it's most likely cracked. Maybe even boxed, but still cracked.

If in doubt go to BBB.org (Better Business Bureau) and query them. Don't rush into something like that! >

Not only is the Longhorn a giveaway they are not legitimate, but Microsoft keeps a tight reign on OEM dealers. OEM software is sold at much reduced prices than retail, but only until some criteria has been met. Such as WindowsXP OEM can only be sold if you buy certain hardware at the same time, such as a hard drive, motherboard, etc.
These guys may give you what you buy, but I bet it is all pirated stuff.

BTW can anyone tell me why my posting show up twice? I am using the SDC software, and it does not make sense to me. Cannot find any settings that may affect it.

I've gotten emails about this stuff as well. Not sure how they do it but from what the email said you get no support...no warranties...no updates...your on your own.

if they are claiming to sell longhorne, they''ve gotta be full of crap. however don''t always run away for something if it looks too good to be true. if you see a good deal online, best thing to do is to call the company.. you may be pleasently suprised to find they are a ''gray market'' store.. if there is no phone number then.. i''d be concerened.
by gray market, i mean this..: there are companys which operate entirelly on the internet, and are likely based outside of the U.S. they do things like package software as a CD only without packaging. being outside of U.S. consumer laws they can get away with selling things dirt cheap. they sometimes still include full manufacturer''s warrenties, and sometimes have customer support. there is some kind of rule, and i''m not sure exactly how it goes, but to sell merchandise in the U.S. you are required to have at least one physically store in the country. the thing to do is to call the company and ask them some questions to see if they are legit.. ask them if they have a place in the U.S. (if you are in the U.S.) and if they have returns policies or anything like that. you could also get their tax id number if you really wanted to be sure.
now since i always have a story to go along with such information:
my father recently bought a nikon camera from one of these ''grey market'' internet companies. he thoroughly researched this camera and the prices for them, and found a deal with this company. he was skeptical as well, so he called the company and they explained to him that they were in fact legal, but operated primarily off the net and were thus able to give such great prices. they satisfied him that they weren''t a ''fly by night'' place, and my father is as un-trusting as i am. he bought the camera, got it a couple days later, and has had no problems since. it even came with the manuf. warrenty.
so it might not be too good to be true, you just have to be careful and cover your bases

I dont see any sort of VeriSign logo denoting ''''legitimacy'''' on the ''''buy now'''' page...
I cant see how they give out products such as Photoshop CS, Flash, and 3dsMax for the prices they list...
I dunno...
