Challenge - A DesktopX webcam toy

I would like to see what can be made for the Olympics (and just for plain fun) with webcam controls. I don't program or anything otherwise I would try it myself, but wouldn't it be neat to have like a robot or somthing zoom around your desktop streaming your webcam, or maybe someone elses? Think majic screen from peewee's playhouse. HA HA hee hee hee hee

can be done.. i heard flash apps integrate well into desktop x's enviroment, and a buddy of mine is working on streaming flash video systems and what not. using flash communications server to drive it, you can wire web cam into anything you want (in this case your desktop, or even a pda). having Desktop x manipulate this wouldn't be much harder to do.
