Wednesday, May 12, 2004 by synergy | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

When you hold your mouse down to highlight icons on the desktop it shows an enhanced version of the original dotted line sqaure. how do you change the color of this highlighter? right now it is purple i want it to be grey.

When your on the desktop and you hold the mouse button and movie it around it makes a transparent box thats used for highlighting icons. desktopX makes this purple by deafult. how can i change it to a different color?

here is a screenshot:

Oh ok, mines the same color as yours...Not sure but I don't think this has anything to do with desktopX.

btw why would you want to change the color? once you let the mouse go, It's gone.

i dont wanna see purple when i highlight stuff. it does have something to do with desktopX, iconX actually cuz when i turn iconX off it goes back to windows default style with just grey dotted lines.

Frankly...if I specifically new the answers to these questions I'd prefer to die than reveal them.

Improve your attitude and you just may get some assistance.

Well, it is DesktopX related and no, I don't know how to change it.

Frankly, I don't think he was _that_ rude, is everyone a bit touchy today?

A script bug/IE-setting means I cannot edit posts...so WYSIWYG, I'm afraid....
