Old Crabs Beer / Hangover is now cured!!!!

Saturday, May 8, 2004 by Old_Crab | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Or at least what went wrong. Never, ever, brew your own brew! And if you do try it out on your neighbors first! We got some things wrong trying to work out a complicated Black and Tan brew. Sediments. Strange inert sediments. We'll try again someday but.... . Instead we went to the Local Market and were going to mix our own, odd mixs of this and that. Usually Quiness Stout and Coor, then we found this ...........................
were we happy, no more hangovers today!!!

IIRC, a true Black and Tan is Guiness and Bass and a Half and Half is Guiness and Harp's, but if I were going to get a brewed black and tan then I would get a Yuengling Black and Tan http://www.yuengling.com/beers.htm

i was in an english pub the other night in northern liberties.. i had a yards. it was warm. ... i wasn't in the mood for a warm beer and it kinda caught me off guard. it wasn't bad but, was suprisingly warm and thus yeasty. the bartender was very chill though, and replaced it with a guinness. i'll go bass, yeungling, new castle, guiness, and grog in order of darkness.

Guinness or Redhook ESB unless I'm working in the yard then it's MGD in a can (it's basically water anyway )

What's the name of the pub? I'm usually, when in Philly (I live just up the Schuylkill in Valley Forge) visiting my brother and his wife @ 8th and Lombard, we head over to either Moriarity's or the Irish Pub on Walnut between 12th and 11th. They are serving Smithwick's at Moriarity's (an older brew than Guinness) and it's pretty durn good.

i gave up the irish pub when they stopped carrying guiness, lost their service, came up with a broken bar that was only putting out warm drinks, and stopped serving good food.

moriarty's i have enourmous respect for. this pub was called Alexys or alayee or something like that. i have a flyer i can grab next time i remember. they had fantastic wings, not spicey like moriarty's but just good tasting. and good frieds, also. 3rd and fairmount
