How to set automatic installation for WBA file extension in win2000?

Hi,
when I download a WB skin, it is simply saved to the destination folder, with .wba.zip extension. (Win2k with registered WB and winzip installed)
I have tried to copy the options that are set with WAL and WSZ file extensions, which simply have an install option with "c:\program files\winamp\winamp.exe" "%1". The same won't work with wbconfig.exe.
Could anyone help how to register the wba file extension so that a downloaded WBA is automatically installed?

These are pretty straight-forward, this is what I'm doing.
I'm mostly interested in command line options for wbconfig.

ethsza, I think I found your solution. It works like a charm for me on WinXP. So, I checked mine. The file you want is wbload.exe, not wbconfig.exe.

ah, I have been trying to get this to work.
But I still don't understand what I am reading... I am using XP, so where do I get WB to automatically download to the right folder?

Yep, I have managed to try that on an Xp myself, and you're right, that's wbload, not wbconfig.
Still, that setting is only for setting an action for doubleclicking a WBA. What I'm looking for is that when I download, it shouldn't ask where to save, but save it to the correct folder (all WBA's go there anyway) and load it automatically without being necessary to doubleclick or load from the configuration utility. Just the same way as a winamp skin behaves when you download it.

If you double click the file, doesn't it automatically install it to the correct folder? It does for me.

Open My Computer and go to Tools => Folder Options => File Types Tab => Scroll down to WBA wbload Document and hilight it. Then click on the Advanced button to open the Edit File Type Dialog. Under Actions: it should read "open" and "Confirm open after download" needs to be unchecked.

It was difficult to know exactly what the problem was.
I assumed that you knew how to add a file type but it didn't work because you had referenced the wrong file. Now, I don't know what to think, but I hope its fixed now.

Thx guys. Right now the behaviour is that whn clicking a WBA download link, the WBA is downloaded to a temp dir, and installed to the WB theme directory, a 2nd WB icon appeares in the tray, with a tooltip, promising, that skin is applied if I click the tooltip, but it's not applied. Tooltip disappeares, and after some seconds the 2nd WB icon disappeares from the tray. However I can switch to the new skin from the WB config utility.
This is a Win2k machine.
Is there a chance, that the new skin can be applied automatically, or at least without starting the WB config utility from the right-click menu of the tray icon?

Sometimes clicking on the ballon works and sometimes it doesnt. I believe there is a setting somewhere in Windowblinds to install skin upon download. Could be wrong but im pretty sure its there somewhere. Maybe the setting is in theme manager. When I get a chance I will check.

wba.zip?? try removing the .zip?

Try this. When you download a skin, click save, save to your windowblinds folder, when the download is complete click open. If you have it set to close window when download is complete then change the setting. Then open display properties or windowblinds configuration (I prefer to install skins usin wb config. Then your skin. I know this is simple but it should work guaranteed. If it fails then the file is bad or I would think reinstalling WB .
or change the file name from skinx.zip to skinx.wba.
Hope it helps. This advise comes from a carpenter. Not a pc professional of any sort. I just know that one of these will work.
