windowblinds not skinning folders when using Litestep

Wednesday, April 21, 2004 by bishorange | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hello, I am having a bit of a problem with Windowblinds not skinning folders when using Litestep, I seem to remember in the 'old' days (win98), you needed to put a statement in the system.ini file on the Shell=c:\litestep\litestep.exe line.

Anyway, how can i get Windowblinds to skin folders in XP, when using Litestep - anyone know how? Either that or its gonna have to come down to making a DX litestep clone

kind regards
bishorange

that´s an issue with WindowBlinds when opening explorer windows from an other process than explorer.exe. this is something that happens with some other window skinning software as well, but not all, so it should be possible to fix that bug.
software where this happens: WindowBlinds, ShellWM, bb4win bbwinskin engine
does not happen with: msstyles, bb4win bbleanskin engine

on the old days: that statement was to set LS as your shell. not related to your problem.
