Sounds....what happened to the sounds?

when I minimized, or closed a window, etc, my suite was making cool sounds. That has quit??!! Is there a way to regain this little but amusing feature?

Also check the usually stuff like loose wires, volume control, dead hearing-aid battery (though that's not necessarily a bad thing if your wife's a screamer 
) I had a uncle-inlaw with Selective hearing

First: Restart your machine.
Second: Check your sound through a music playing software to make sure that you indeed have sound at all.
Note: Not all skins have sound. Also, other software might grab your sound card and not release it. That is why a restart might be neccessary to force the software to release your sound card.
